Yoga Warriors Fighting Cancer is devoted to raising funds for cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2010, I was blessed to have Dana-Farber on my side as I faced my own personal battle against the disease. Today I am cancer-free and my family and I have made it our mission to help others get the same amazing care, and also to contribute to Dana-Farber 's pursuit to find a cure for cancer.
The first thing we wanted to do was find fun and creative ways to raise money. We stuck with what we know best and came up with clothing, cards and cookies – with 100% of all profits going to Dana-Farber .
Our yoga practice helped us find peace and strength when we needed it most. Therefore, as we took our yoga practice off the mat, it was natural to start our fundraising endeavors with a line of yoga tops. They are being sold in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and California and you can choose from a variety of styles in our online store. On our site you will also find information on 10-year old Ava Daly's infamous cancer awareness ribbon cookies. Fighting cancer never tasted this good!
The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) has raised over 300 million dollars for Dana-Farber over the last 30 years. Billy Starr, founder of Pan-Mass Challenge wanted to make a difference and has rallied thousands of participants each year to team up in the crusade against cancer. We are inspired by his efforts and grateful for the role the PMC family has played in our lives and therefore all our fundraising for Dana-Farber is being done through the Pan-Mass Challenge (100% of all raised money goes to Dana-Farber ).
